Book a fabulous place to Stay in Beautiful Positano

One thing is a sure fact when visiting Positano.  With your best walking shoes, you must come prepared, as you will be walking uphill most of the time.  There are no miles and miles of level white sandy beach walks.  Most of the time to go shopping or get to a restaurant or shop, you’ll have to climb steps or walk up a steep road…  However, this also makes for some of the world’s most beautiful places to visit with beautiful ocean views from almost every hotel and B&B or guesthouse.  Therefore you can find fabulous places to stay, and we definitely recommend that you stay for a night or two.

Positano is expensive, yes, but it is so worth it.  A romantic destination, a family holiday, a special celebration getaway, or a wedding destination…they have it all.  Enjoy the fabulous weather in summer when everything is open and bustling with tourists everywhere.  It’s a busy time of year, but tourist season is also the time when you can experience Positano in full.  During other times of the year, you’ll find many shops closed.  Oh yes, and shopping is one of the reasons why you’d want to spend some time here.  Fabulous woman’s clothing shops, fabric shops, beautiful ceramics, and many more will have you browsing from morning to lunchtime when it’s time to search for the perfect little restaurant.  Of which beautiful Positano obviously also has more than enough options to choose from.

Travel Tips

  • Try to find accommodation that includes parking, as parking in Positano can be quite a difficult story.
  • Although most places have steps, you can book accommodation that is wheelchair friendly, which means if you have difficulty walking, you can easily access the rooms and bathroom/shower.
  • If you’re flying in, ask about a hotel transfer.  This will save you lots of headaches with the traffic and narrow roads where parking is few and far in between.
  • You’re spending the money to stay in Positano, book somewhere where you’ll have a balcony or at least a room with a sea view.  You can thank us afterward.  🙂
  • Book day trips while you stay here.  You’ll have access to beautiful places like Capri, Sorento, Amalfi and so much more…
