The biggest challenge when planning your holiday wardrobe is to have clothes that can be used for more than one occasion. Like a casual stroll on the beach at sunrise, sightseeing, and lunch/dinner with friends.
And don’t forget the essential accessories! For example, the classic scarf. I always have one in my handbag because they come in handy if there is a sudden weather change.
So here are a few more tips, tricks, and ideas that I include in my holiday wardrobe.
When you travel (share accommodation) with friends, make sure you pack PJs that are light in your luggage and fit for a queen. Silk PJs do it for me. It adds a bit of glamour to an early morning cup of coffee with my friends. You never know when there is a camera clicking to capture another precious holiday memory – lol.
Always pack a blouse with more than one purpose. Like this favorite of mine. It can be used with either short or long pants. And if you can, pack a white blouse so that it goes with any color pants.
The classic scarf! Going on holiday without a scarf in your luggage is a sin. They are so handy and have multiple uses. You’ll never get caught off guard with one of them in your handbag. When visiting religious sites, like cathedrals, it is your ticket to looking respectable when you cover your shoulders. You can also wear it as protection against the sun, or for a bit of warmth when the weather changes unexpectedly. And it’s a fashion statement!
This stylish bag goes with me everywhere. I love that it’s two-in-one because I can dump the organizer insert for a more formal event – looking ever so stylish. The organizer works extremely well while traveling to and from a destination because it keeps all the travel documents nicely in place. A winner for me.
This backpack is an absolute hit because it goes with any color. Consequently, no matter whether I’m dressed in pink, green, purple, or red, it fits in with my colorful mood of the day. Just love it.
Packing a kimono is a no-brainer. Moving between the beach and a seaside restaurant is a breeze with one of these.
Another classic is the smock dress. It is super comfy no matter what the occasion is. In addition to that, a big bonus is that it’s easy to slip into. Furthermore, you can wear them with flatties or flip-flops, OR with heeled shoes for a more formal style. If you don’t have one, get one – you won’t regret it!
