History

The station buffet was inaugurated in 1901 by the President of the Republic Emile Loubet.

In 1963, they renamed the buffet to “Le Train Bleu” as a tribute to the famous “Paris-Ventimiglia” train line from 1868. This legendary train used to travel along the beautiful Mediterranean coastline, serving the towns of the Côte d’Azur.
