Recipe for making Boeber in 3 easy steps

Cooking Time:  20 – 30 minutes

Serves 8 people

Ingredients:

  • 45 g butter
  • 70 g vermicelli
  • 4 cardamom pods, cracked
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 litre milk
  • 1 t vanilla essence
  • a dash of rose-water
  • 75 g sago, soaked for 30 minutes in water
  • 1 x 290 g can dessert cream
  • 1 x 385 g can condensed milk
  • chopped nuts to garnish

How to make boeber in 3 easy steps:

  • Heat butter in a saucepan and cook vermicelli with the cardamom and cinnamon.  Stirring regularly to prevent burning.
  • Add the remaining ingredients, and keep stirring occasionally, while bringing to a boil.
  • Once boiling, remove from heat and serve promptly.

 

Serve and enjoy: Spoon the boeber into dessert bowls and garnish with toasted flaked almonds or pistachios (optional). Serve warm and enjoy!
