Every traveler has that one destination that captures their imagination and beckons them to explore its wonders. More than often it is places like Italy and Switzerland that have a special place on almost everyone’s bucket list. For me, it was the same. I never thought of going to Queenstown, until one day … Here is what made me decide to go to Queenstown in New Zealand:
The decision to embark on this journey was sparked by a photograph, a snapshot of a stunning hotel nestled amidst the breathtaking landscapes. Well, actually a few photographs I saw on the internet, and immediately I was drawn to the idea of one day visiting this beautiful place.
As I looked at pictures of different places across the world, one or two photos caught my eye. These photos captured what Queenstown is all about; where the beauty and simplicity of nature are perfectly mixed with luxury.
You know how you often see a photo of a table with a view on social media, and it often looks so exquisite that you think “It’s not real”...
I could picture myself (and a certain someone…) sitting here at night or early morning enjoying the view (..most romantically).
The views from the living and dining room are just spectacular. I was picturing myself at sunset opening the windows to the views, or early morning with a coffee in hand…
Luxurious lakefront accommodation with private balconies and spectacular views. What more could I ask…this is what my dreams were made of…
The photo that had initially sparked this wanderlust became a beacon, guiding me to a beautiful destination. It wasn’t just a place to visit; it was like a blank canvas ready for me to explore and create my own adventures. A place grown-up enough for pure luxurious indulgence and close enough to nature to live out my “wild side”.
