However, ultimately, whether the Amalfi Coast is considered overrated depends on personal preferences.

If you appreciate the stunning scenery and don’t mind the potential crowds, the Amalfi Coast can be a memorable and enchanting destination.

But, if you prefer quieter or less touristy places, you might explore other coastal regions in Italy.

Is it Expensive?

Yes, it is known for being relatively expensive, from accommodations to dining. (Let’s not mention shopping… LOL)

If you’re on a tight budget, you might consider more affordable options along the coast of Italy. But if you can save for that ‘one trip of a lifetime’, this is your destinaiton.

Where can you swim?

The Amalfi Coast offers wonderful opportunities for swimming. The coastal towns boast clear and inviting waters, providing a refreshing experience for visitors.

The easiest way is to rent a car. The trip takes about 3 hours 20 minutes (278.5 km) via the E45.

Amalfi Coast to Naples

The scenic route takes about 1 hour 19 minutes (61.7 km) by car, via the A3. Do ask your hotel about shuttle services.

What airport on Amalfi Coast can I fly to? (Where?)
