From Russia (“Pоссия”) with Love may be a classic box-office hit, but we believe as a tourist you will return home from Moscow, with Love! Moscow is rich in architecture, art, museums, and history.
The bridge’s construction consists of steel with a glass canopy – a work of art. Your camera will not stop clicking to capture the amazing views between souvenir shopping inside the bridge. There are also booths with delicious cookies!! This is one of those sights you have to visit in the daytime, as well as nighttime. It just takes on a jacket of its own at night time!
Construction occurred between 1554 and 1560 by Tsar Ivan IV (the Terrible) as a symbolic votive offering for his military victories over the khanates of Kazan and Astrakhan.
The cathedral was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1990.
There are 19 bells in the bell tower, of which the oldest is nearly 500 years old.
The onion-shaped domes are probably Russia’s most famous cultural point of interest. Domes that are gold in color is the symbol of celestial glory.
By the way, blue domes with golden stars are characteristic of Mother of God churches.

The guided metro tours come highly recommended. Moscow is known for its magnificent underground architecture and it truly is simply amazingly beautiful. Make sure your shoes are comfortable and enjoy!
The Kremlin, in the center of Moscow, is made up of no less than five palaces and four cathedrals, the Kremlin Wall, the Kremlin towers, and the Grand Kremlin Palace (formerly the Tsar‘s Moscow residence). It is currently the official residence of the President of the Russian Federation. Visit the museum or opt for a guided tour that includes the museum.
October is early fall and with the declining temperatures people tend to travel less and Moscow is a bit easier to explore, and cheaper too.
If you plan to do a river cruise, which yes you should, then June/July is a good time. Summer temperatures can go into the 30s, so if that’s too warm for you, don’t go in August. Expect the possibility of rain because on average there are about nine rainy days per month in the summer.
TIP: Leave your umbrella at home because summer is windy months. Rather have a waterproof poncho in your bag. You get them in small packages that fit into your bag very easily and they’re lightweight. Granted, they are not highly durable but they are perfect for the duration of the holiday.
Spring (dry season) weather is unpredictable so best you have a jacket handy at all times. If going on a holiday in cooler temperatures is your thing, then the variances between 10 to 21 degrees Celcius will not be a bother.
Having said all that, when IS the best time to visit Moscow? I’ll let you decide after you’ve checked out the video below. You’ll soon be able to make up your mind in which season you want to experience Moscow. From Moscow, with Love!
