Lemon Flavored Water

No sugar. No fizz. Easy to make lemon flavored water with extras, should you wish…

In the summer heat of Africa you need a thirst quencher. Being someone who loves something not too sweet, and not being a lover of fizzy drinks, this is the perfect summer water drink… (I’m struggling to drink just plain water….I’m trying, but I’m struggling.)

You need: Lemons and water – and/or fresh ingredients like cucumber and apple… etc, but only IF you would like to add more.

Lemon Flavored Water for the Summer:

Wash the lemons well
Slice lemons fairly thin
Add lemon slices to a glass pitcher
Fill the pitcher with water

TIP: If you let it steep for up to 2 or 3 hours or even overnight you’ll have stronger fruit-flavored water and you can anything else that you love like mint, strawberries, or lime…

Here are 10 great combinations / things you can add to the basic lemon flavored water recipe:

Grapefruit and Mint
Cucumber and Rosemary
Apple and Strawberries
Oranges and Limes
Limes and Raspberries
Mint and Pineapple
Orange and Pineapple
Limes and Mint
Cucumber and Mint
Or maybe just Cucumber …
