Tips for making Lavender Butter Cookies

  • You can store the dough in the freezer.  Just defrost before baking.
  • Adding the lavender petals to the dough is totally at your own discretion.  Some people like to add a lot of petals, while others might prefer just adding 4 teaspoons.  I think you’ll find the right amount somewhere between 5 and 7 teaspoons (depending on taste).
  • Always make sure you use the petals of lavender plants that are healthy and haven’t been sprayed with any insecticide or other chemicals.
  • Store the cookies in an airtight container.
